This diagram shows two basic elements of the folie- a curved element and a straight plane. The curve was previously constructed from concrete, while the plane was glass. Perhaps this could translate to horizontal windows?
The intersection was a main focus point of the folie- it held it together. My new concept also includes the idea of community and the intersection can be reinterpreted to be "coming together", a factor that is important in the spirit of community, and also outlines historically how the community "came together" in the events on site (to build the wharves, in light of war and even in the recent floods). I have decided that this will be a major point of my new dance studio.
